Since March 29, 2019, the U.K. Startup visa program has been in effect. Most importantly, non-graduates will also be allowed to apply for this program. This new Start-up visa, recently announced by endorsement organizations, will determine if the application is qualified to be sponsored and endorsed. This visa will be an excellent substitute for the Entrepreneur visa for establishing a company in the United Kingdom. For a UK Start-up visa, the applicant must pay £363 as a visa application fee to process whereas, if you are applying for a UK Innovator visa, it will cost £1,021 to precede your application.

Specific prerequisites must be met before applying for this visa program. To achieve this, you must:
- Be citizens of non-EEA countries
- Own a substantial business idea that might benefit the UK economy
- Must be endorsed by one of the UK government-designated endorsement organizations
Moreover, the qualifications mentioned above, you must additionally meet the following English proficiency criteria:
- A minimum CEFR B2 level in reading, writing, listening and speaking as determined by an authorized English language exam.
- Possesses an academic qualification taught in English and recognized by UK NARIC as comparable to a UK bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree.
UK INNOVATOR VISA
For those with more outstanding expertise in the business world and an interest in starting a company in the U.K., the Innovator category is the way to go with their family to the U.K.
Conditions:
- Obtaining a visa valid for three years, with the possibility to seek to extend your stay for a further three years, gives you a chance for indefinite leave to remain in the United Kingdom.
- Developing a company should be the exclusive focus of your efforts.
- You are not allowed to work for anybody else outside your company.
- Available funds must total at least £50,000 before applying.
- It must be the first company the founder has started in the U.K.

The following are the most common pieces of evidence that visa officials may ask for; however, others may be required depending on the individual’s situation.
- A valid, up-to-date computerized passport with blank pages in it to stamp the visa
- Report of Tuberculosis test
- Supporting papers, if they are not already in English or Welsh, and a certified translation into English.

- Evidence of Prior Employment
- A bank statement showing £1270 savings that have been holding for a consecutive period
- Letter of support from relevant endorsing bodies
- Certification of English Language Proficiency at the CEFR Level B2 for All Four Modules (5.5 bands)
